New Patients

We welcome new patients. Please call our reception team will help you to find an appointment time that works for you.

Test Results

If you are coming back to discuss your results with your doctor this consultation will be bulk – billed as long as it is for your results only.

We encourage all patients to be responsible for their own test results so if the doctor ordered some tests, you should please call us to make an appointment to review them with the doctor and discuss the next steps in your plan.

Telehealth consults are now available under Medicare and some of the doctors may be happy to bulk bill a phone consultations with their patient to discuss the results over the phone, it is up to the individual doctor and you may still have to come in to see your doctor for a face to face consult to discuss your results.

To ensure safe and accurate interpretation of test results, it is our policy that all patients should return to discuss them with the doctor in person. The doctor will explain them to you, answer any questions you may have and print them for you if you wish. Even normal results can require some discussion to ensure advice has been given and safe follow up is in place.

Please note that reception staff are not legally allowed to deliver test results over the phone as they are not medically qualified.

Contacting Your Doctor

It is often difficult for doctors to take calls as they are generally in the middle of a consultation with a patient. For safety and legal reasons, it is not recommended for them to give advice over the phone and you should therefore make an appointment to discuss medical issues with the doctor in the clinic.

If your call is urgent, please explain the nature of the urgency to the receptionist to ensure it is dealt with appropriately.

Emails – emails are not an approved safe method of discussion when it comes to providing medical care. Please do not communicate with your doctor about medical matters via email as your message will probably not be seen. Come to talk to your doctor in person instead.
